{"id":136,"date":"2025-03-12T21:26:41","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T21:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/quizlab.ai\/blog\/?p=136"},"modified":"2025-03-13T15:52:55","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T15:52:55","slug":"bbc-to-ai-grow-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quizlab.ai\/blog\/bbc-to-ai-grow-up\/","title":{"rendered":"BBC to AI: grow up!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The venerable BBC discovered significant deficiencies when testing AI&#8217;s ability to accurately answer questions about the news.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We gave the AI assistants [OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT; Microsoft\u2019s Copilot; Google\u2019s Gemini; Perplexity] access to our website for the duration of the research and asked them questions about the news, prompting them to use BBC News articles as sources where possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the study, conducted in February 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/aboutthebbc\/documents\/bbc-research-into-ai-assistants.pdf\">journalists reviewed AI&#8217;s answers to 100 popular questions<\/a> about content covered by the BBC.
